Abstract:

Diabetes peripheral neuropathy belongs to the category of “pulse arthralgia”, “numbness”,“asthenia” and “flaccidity syndrome” in traditional Chinese medicine. Its clinical manifestations are numbness and discomfort of limbs, obvious burning pain, and abnormal sensory activity. In recent years, the incidence rate of DPN has increased year by year, and effective prevention and treatment of DPN has become a hot spot of current research. Traditional Chinese medicine has obvious advantages due to its long history and precise curative effect. In recent years, certain achievements have been made in the prevention and treatment of diabetes peripheral neuropathy with single traditional Chinese medicine and compound Chinese medicine. This paper summarizes the research on the prevention and treatment of diabetes peripheral neuropathy with single traditional Chinese medicine, and reflects on the problems still existing in the current research,in order to better guide the clinical practice and provide ideas for the development and exploration of new Chinese medicine.
