Abstract: Blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier hinders the treatment of brain diseases, while targeted agents can not only selectively concentrate on the foci, but also increases the concentration of drugs and thereby reducing the toxicity and side effects, which popularly directs the treatment of brain diseases nowadays. This paper summarizes several brain target ligands applied broadly and their delivery strategies over the last five years, involving drug-carrying nanoparticles that transported to the brain by means of receptor-mediated,vector-mediated,and trans-cell-swallowing,which makes it possible to accumulate drugs in the brain, and needs to be prospectively researched and developed.

Key words: blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier, nano-scale drug delivery systems, targeted drug, receptor-mediated
