Analysis of Medication Rules of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Insomnia

Abstract:

To analyze the medication rules of Chinese patent medicine for insomnia and tranquilization,and provide the reference for guiding clinical medication and developing new prescriptions. Methods:Using the Chinese patent medicines for insomnia and tranquilization,included in the Ministry of Traditional Chinese Medicine Standards and Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2015 edition as data sources,and Excel 2013 and SPSS Modeler 14.1 as tools,the Chinese medicines included in the standards were statistically processed and analyzed by association rules. Results:Among the prescriptions included in the standard,the top five herbs with the highest cumulative frequency were licorice (26 times,28.57%),astragalus (24 times,26.37%),schisandra (23 times,25.27%),spina date seed (21 times,23.08%) and rehmannia (21 times,23.08%). Among the medicines,sweet( 20 times,45.45%),bitter( 11 times,25%),acid( 5 times,11.36%) is the most common,pungent (4 times,9.10%),salty (2 times,4.54%),astringent(1 time,2.27%),light( 1 time,2.27%) and so on. The drug properties were mainly concentrated in cold( 8 times,30.77%) and mild( 9 times,34.62%) levels( 8 times,30.77%). The central meridian(13 times,19.12%),liver meridian (13 times,19.12%),kidney meridian (13 times,19.12%),lung meridian (11 times,16.18%) and spleen meridian (9 times,13.24%) are the most common. As can be seen from the distribution of dosage forms,there are various kinds of Chinese patent medicine dosage forms for treating insomnia and tranquilizing the mind.
