摘要: 植物雌激素(phytoestrogen,PE)是一类在中药中广泛存在的,具有类似雌激素生物活性的植物成分。植物雌激素在预防和治疗心血管疾病、骨质疏松、肿瘤以及改善妇女绝经后综合症等方面的作用已得到广泛的认可。近年来,越来越多的研究表明植物雌激素在预防和治疗阿尔茨海默病中发挥保护作用,因其广泛来源于
植物,无明显的副作用,同时又可作为一种预防保健品,使得植物雌激素具有广泛的应用和开发前景。该文就植物雌激素的来源、分类、生物学活性,在阿尔茨海默病中改善学习记忆功能、减少β- 淀粉样蛋白的产生、拮抗β- 淀粉样蛋白的毒性、增强胆碱能神经元的功能、抗氧化应激和消除自由基方面的神经保护作用,以及植物雌激素通过直接的基因组作用和非基因组作用发挥神经保护作用的机制做一综述,为阿尔茨海默病防治药物的开发提供新的思路和策略,使其有望成为雌激素的替代药物。

Abstract: Phytoestrogen (PE) is a type of plant component that is widely found in traditional Chinese medicine and has similar bioactivity of estrogen. It has been widely acknowledged about the role of phytoestrogens in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases,osteoporosis, tumors,and improvement postmenopausal syndrome in women. In recent years,more and more studies have shown that phytoestrogens play a protective role in the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. Because they are widely derived from plants,and have no obvious side effects,concomitantly can be used as preventive health products,making phytoestrogens have a wide range of applications and prospects. This text reviews the source,classification,biological activity of phytoestrogens,and their pharmacological effects on improving learning and memory function, reducing the production of β-amyloid,antagonize the toxicity of β-amyloid and enhancing the function of cholinergic neurons ,the anti-oxidative stress and the neuroprotective effect in eliminating free radicals in Alzheimer’s disease,as well as the mechanism of phytoestrogen exerting neuroprotective effect through direct genomics and non-genomic effects. It provides new ideas and strategies for the development of Alzheimer’s disease prevention and treatment drugs making it a promising alternative to estrogen.
