Advances of Targeted Drug Delivery Based on PEG-PCL

Abstract: In recent years,biodegradable materials have been widely used in pharmaceutical field because of the excellent biodegradability,biocompatibility and mechanical property. Among them,poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(ε-caprolactone) copolymers (PEG-PCL) has been widely used in drug delivery system. The drug delivery system based on PEG-PCL can be modified with various ligands,such as peptides,antibodies,carbohydrates,aptamers and small molecules for enhancing the bioavailability and therapeutic effect,achieving targeted drug delivery. In this paper,the research progress of targeted drug delivery based on PEG-PCL is reviewed,in order to provide ideas and methods for the applications of PEG-PCL in targeted drug delivery system.
